First of all, I want to wish this to Andy, Angel and everyone else involved in Rum Ratings.
Secondarily, I would like to wish this to my followers and all of you who participate in the discussions in this forum with life and desire.
Finally also to everyone else that read this.
Let's hope that we get one in all pieces better 2021 than 2020 with many wonderful rum tastings and that we each and everyone develop our rum drinking.
I will open one of my better Agricoles still unopened and unreviewed and one of my bottles of English Harbour 1981 to celebrate Christmas and New Year.

Stefan:
Merry Christmas to you too! For Christmas, I will thaw out a pint of my home cooking left over from Thanksgiving, Turkey in Guava Sauce with Pistachios. To go with it will be a half bottle of Meiomi Pinot Noir. For New Year's Eve, it will be a full bottle of Perrier Jouet Grand Brut Champagne while listening to the fools waste their money of tons of fireworks. My bottle of Ron Zacapa XO Rum won't be opened until the world wide celebration on January 20th. Saving the best for last!
Yes, 2020 was horrible with the pandemic, a direct hit hurricane, a presidential election, and all of the other shit. No more plane trips, no more concerts, and leaving me with rum as the only fun. At least I saved shit loads of money and lost weight with all of the restaurants closed.
Merry Christmans, everybody! Best wishes for health, good business, prosperity and love! Everybody seems to forget all about love... I have already opened my Appleton 21, which i stashed away for special occasions! I am going to drink from that, in holidays, festivities, special occasions and toasts! Luckily, the few people who are going to celebrate with us, are far from avid drinkers, which means they frown upon "heavy" spirits like rum and stomach only wine or ouzo/tsipouro, at best. Good stuff is reserved for me! If i save enough money, i will order online a St. Lucia Chairman's Reserve 1931 the standardized, post 2018 release. Or a Doorly's 14, Or a Flor de Cana 25. If i do, then the relative review is absolutely going to appear, right after! Cheers! In the meantime, cheap spiced rum and the occasional Seale 10 fix, are my poison of choice.
Merry Christmas to everyone here! I'm really glad I participate in this rum community, I generally got more involved in rums during COVID time, it has become my greatest hobby.
You may not be aware of it but I'm really grateful to everyone here for helpful feedback and nice discussion. Your attitude helped me to stay in good mood andsurvive this difficult year.
Happy christmas to everyone, try to enjoy yourselves and relax to the max despite the current health crisis. I will probably open some nice craft beers and then some navy grogs with a splash of espresso and demerara rum. Cheers! 🥃
Happy Holiday everyone! I hope I am lucky to get a Ping 9 sample on time, otherwise I will go on adventure with Savanna Thunderstruck and Lava. Perhaps a few cl of Black TOT 50 Anniversary with my desert 🥳🤘

Happy chrismas to you all! I just got a new expression from SLD in; Chairman's Reserve Legacy. That will be opened for sure.
It will be my only close company this christmas as we are all in quarantine this year as 2 out of 4 family members have been tested positive with covid-19 and have to stay in their room.
Happy holidays to all and thank you for an active and reflecting community with lots of insight. The celebration arrow points to either Black tot 50, Longueteau XO or Damoiseau full proof 1989. Not an easy call.
Many of you are gonna open a bottle of Appleton 21, which is a great choice.
To Martin I say, you will not be disappointed if you open your Longueteau XO cause that’s a fantastic Agricole from Guadeloupe.
Absolutely agree on Appelton 21 beeing a worthy holiday bottle. It’s a great classic. Stefan thanks for the reccomdation on longueteau XO. I have noticed we have pretty similar taste so I will likely be enjoying this bottle a lot.
My Appelton 21 is still closed too. Just to many opened bottles. Got the Sagacity, 2007 & Nobiliary from Foursquare and haven't tried them yet. Realy want to dig into one of them. So my Christmas Bottle will be a Foursquare. Think i start with the 2007. It is Cask Strength and Ex Bourbon only. So straight Foursquare. But all of them have good reputation. Hard call. Wish u all happy holidays and stay healthy! Greatings from Germany to all rum lovers out there.
Just got Plantation XO for a Christmas gift, it's been on my wishlist for long. I think it will be perfect for the evening.
Again, wishing you all Merry Christmas.
Did you give or get some rum gifts?
I'm going to give away a bottle of Millonario 15. My nighbour love sweet rums.
Appleton 21 was a great choice. I'm very satisfied. It's smooth for beginners but also complex with heavy flavours for connoisseurs.
I just can't stop drinking it.
Enjoy the Christmas days.
After Santa’s visit we opened one of my English Harbour 1981, it tasted just as I remember.
Santa brought me a bottle of Kiss Detroit Rock Rum (Just as the name as one of their songs) from Brands for Fans, probably quite sweet but a nice bottle to have.
Update: I also got Flor de Cana 18yo and a book "smuggler's cove". What a great Christmas gift set! My family seems to have finally accepted my hobby, even though it involves drinking alcohol.
I was planning on opening my bottle of Zafra 30 on New Year's Eve for my 200th review, as well as toasting in a better year. Unfortunately we are once again in lockdown in Ontario so there
will be no party. I might just open the bottle
anyways!
Just found out that my cousin died today. Life’s too short to have untasted rum. This bottle is definitely getting opened tonight!
After eating the New Year’s Eve dinner and while waiting for New Year's supper with lobster and that it will be 24 o'clock I opened a Trois Rivieres Bois D’Inde.
It’s a great Agricole that I will review in near future.
What did you, or shall you open?
Happy New Year to all of you !
Finally I hope that you who have expressed a little harsh words about each other on the site can now dig down the battle ax and instead wish each other a happy new year just like the soldiers did when they left their trenches and wished each other a happy new year during the First World War.
I have a fresh bottle of Foursquare 2007 which i have just opened Christmas. I will dig deeper into this one. And some Plantation Barbados 5years with Coke. I guess this will do it... not much going on tonight anyway.
@Paul B: Would be sad if u leave. I say: no controversy no development. Having an argument and beeing emotional just shows passion. I bet u got some great storys to tell🤗 Stay strong. See u all next year.
