Looking for a dry rum (no or very little added sugar) made in Panama. From my research most Panamanian rums are sweet. Does anyone have recommendations for a dry Panamanian rum?

Jagsroy: It pays to have my rums in a spreadsheet with extreme details. Here are the dry rums from Panama that I have tried, ranked in order by my ratings. That first one has the most sugar at 7 gpl. Most of the rest have 0 gpl of added sugar. Carta Vieja Golden Cask 18 Carta Vieja 8 Anos Frigate Reserve 15 Year Cana Brava 7 Year Old Frigate Reserve 12 Year Grander 8 Year Panama Pacific 9 Year

Thank you Paul. Will now research read up on those rums. By the way are you familiar with the sugar content of Ron Panama 15 yr and Ron Panama 21 yr?

Jagsroy: I cannot even get those two rums and have no idea about their added sugars.

If you can get your hands on the Mezan Panama rums, they tend to be fantastic. The 2008 is their best IMO, but I think possibly sold out. They sell their rums as having nothing added. Abuelo XV sherry casks are ones to really really avoid. Horrid, sickly sweet.
