I admit that I'm not much of a rum drinker. I was restocking my bar on account of the holidays and wanted something general purpose (mixable as well as straight-drinkable). I saw this and thought it looked even more authentic than Bacardi gold, mainly due to all the seals and fancy writing on the bottle and, of course, the bat. I paid a little over $20 for it. Would I have been better off with something basic but less well known, like say Trader Joe's gold?
