Any updates on Cuban rums?

Anyone hear of any updates on when Cuban rum (such as Havana Club) will begin to be sold in the United States? Is it on hold indefinitely? Hard to find definitive information online concerning that.

Can't answer that question, but once they become available get some Edmundo Dantes 15 year old. Best Cuban rum I've tried so far! Cheers, Rob

Definitely will keep that in mind. Tried some Havana Club when I was in the Bahamas a couple of months ago.

Which one did you try and how did you like it? I only tried the 3 year old and Anejo Especial, thought they were decent mixers. Want to try the Selection de Maestros (spelling?) someday soon and if I enjoy that one look for the 15 year old and the Union. Don't want to go straight to the latter 2 as they have a hefty price tag and didn't think the cheap versions that I tried were anything special. However, often you can't really compare the high end rums with the lower end rums despite being same brand.

Keep in mind that Havana Club will be called Havanista if/when it comes.
