El Dorado Special Edition Masters Blend Have been reading about this new offering from the El Dorado brand. I cannot find any information concerning the “sweetness” or “dryness” of this rum. Does anyone know the amount of added sugar, if any, in this rum? Is it sweet or dry?

I tried the Red Wine Cask Special Edition and found it fairly sweet. I would estimate the sugar content is between 25 to 39 GPL. It's been a couple of years since I had this rum, but my overall impression was that the 21 year old is a smoother rum....but is also much sweeter. At $120 Canadian, I have decided to pass on the recent variations offered in the Ontarion Liquor Stores. Just my opinion.

Thank you Earl. Very little information is available on the web about this offering and I figured it would be on the sweeter side. I think I will pass on that one.
