Find different brand name for Diplomatico. “Botucal”... Most of this tipe bottles seen in Russian federation, Ukraine. So what is the different between true diplomatico bottle and same design bottle, but only with brand name “botucal”?!

The story about is, that the discounter aldi from Germany is owner of the name “Diplomatico” for a brandy. The Destilerias Unidas lost the process, so they had to change the name in "Botucal" for the German market (info’s available in the nicebignet). Probably in other countries too. The ron should be the same, but had never the option to test it.

Very interesting... btw, collecting information about process between Bacardi and Pernod Ricard for “Havana club” brand name. And now looks like need to find some more information about this case. just for self education.) And think about to get two bottles Reserva exclusiva - diplomatico and Botucal. In this world nothing is same )
