I'm going to New York this year and I'm hoping to pick up a bottle or two of rum to bring back with me. I'm looking to get something that maybe I wouldn't be able to get in the UK. I like spiced rums and diplomatico reserva is my favourite sipping rum so far. Any ideas on what to look out for?

There seem to be a ton of small US based distilleries popping up all over the east coast. I don't have any specific to recommend, but I'm guessing local stores may have some of these you could check out. A good one I've tried is New Orleans rum - not sure if that would be carried in NYC though.
