Does anyone know or could tell me how to pair rum with foods like nuts, fruits, chocolates and meats

Look for flavors that natural complement the flavors of the food. For nuts I'd drink something with strong vanilla and caramel notes. For chocolate, maybe a nice spiced rum. Fruit, a rum with tropical fruit flavors. For meat, I'd drink a bourbon 😆 but that's just me and my flavor preferences!

I personally really like dark chocolate with limited sugar paired with rum. I've also found cashews make a good combo with rum and chocolate.

Hi everybody, Yes. dark chocolate goes nicely with nearly every rum. I prefer chocolate with very high cacao level 80%+, specially from the Mascao bean. A very delicious thing are salted banana-chips, like in the Caribbean and raisons are delicious too to the most rum. Also some spelled flour-orange biscuits fits perfectly to dry rum. for meat ....mmmm..... i would maybe try a Dictador 20yo. I personally like to cook with rum, like rice flavoured with Malibu coconut or a nice dessert like fried banana flambéed with a Clement Liqueur Creole.

Did a rum tasting at Willow Park Spirits, they suggested and served Fruit cake...delish!
