Schöne Flasche und sogar Nummeriert. (Nachbewertung vom 28.12.2018)
(Nein)
In der Nase fruchtig und etwas bissig. (Relativ dezent, Karamell, Kakao, Leder, Früchte, nicht bissig)
Im Gaumen doch etwas zu flach, Trockenfrüchte, Toffee, Leder. (etwa so)
Nicht so süss. (jawohl)
Abgang schwach.
(Gutes Preis/Leistung Verhältnis für Einsteiger.)
Beautiful bottle and even numbered.
Well, even the best thing about this Ron.
a slightly fruty and biting nose.
On the palate, a bit too shallow, dried fruits, toffee, leather.
Not so sweet.
Weak in the finish.
Almoast too smooth. Nothing happends when it hits your tounge except nice flavours, no alcohol burn at all. Tastes good but wait..wait......WAIT...nothing. But for the price it's thumbs up.
In nose: smoky and a slight of toffee
In mouth: dry, oaky, leathery
Aftertaste: dry and oaky
This is an enjoyable light rum. Not bursting with flavors or aromas, but genuinely delicious. You could have a glass of this anytime. A good straight up sipper. Great price point and value.
Very dry and oak taste, but the distillate is not so good.
Alcohol in aftertaste.
In this price, I prefer Diplomatico Mantuano.
Picked this up very cheaply in Tenerife a few years back. For the price its an excellent golden rum.
If you are a fan of the Dominican style rums, you will probably like the "4-B's"- Barcelo, Brugal, Botran, and Bermudez.
All are excellent in the higher product range of each.
If you like this one, try the ONYX version. It's even better.
I like this rum.
I think, this rum has both rich side and dry side.
There is sweetness as brown suger with vanilla flavor and also smooth nuts oil taste.
This price at this taste, it's really a bargain !
actually hard to describe because there weren't many significant characters in smell and taste. It's smooth and easily drinkable, maybe better to use it with Cola...
Mne to vyhovuje.
visiting casa de campo in DR, tried barcelo imperial on the rocks and was impressed with its smooth taste and fruity aroma. I bought a bottle and then another and now I drink it after dinner every weekend, I love the taste and dont get tired of it
Celkom priemerný, trocha alkoholový, trocha korenistý. Vypil som.
I found the allure of the bottle, the written tasting notes and numbered bottles appealing - however, the taste doesn’t match all the flare. First, I found alcohol to be the most predominant flavor of this rum; smooth not being a characteristic at all. If you can handle the burn, the flavors are average - a spicy, mildly sweet leathery finish. Personally, I’d save your money.
Was able to enjoy sampling the Imperial at a resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Low sugar content, with a mild flavour profile and medium alcohol finish, it is a decent rum to sip on especially for the price point (noting the price in DR). As it's not readily available here (in BC/ Canada) it was nice to try and I did enjoy several glasses.
Not something I would go hunting for, but definitely a nice rum to have on the shelf simply to add diversity to your collection
Good rum with strong aroma, slightly less so on the pallet but enjoyable from the first sip. Works as a sipper to finish the day. Not sweet at all. More after the wood / smoke than caramel that is hinted in the flavor. And a nice bottle to look at.
Great to share with friends and easy on the wallet.
It's a bit like the Gran Anejo but with less nuts and more oak. Same sweetness. Expected more
