Barcelo Imperial rum is produced in the Dominican Republic using column stills before aged in white oak casks for up to 10 years.
Ron Barcelo was founded in 1929 by Spanish entrepreneur Julian Barcelo in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The brand was sold mainly in the Caribbean and North America until a much broader international expansion began in 1992.

A good rum, but too dry for my taste and a bit harsh

I didn't have high hopes with the particular one, but I was pleasntly surprised. Pineapple on the nose vanilla, carmel and fruitsm on the pallete. Not the smoothest one, but quite enjoyable as an everyday sipper.
Most will take a liking to this rum. I find it pleasant and it has a nice aroma in the glass. Not the best, but very far away from the worst rums! Best of all is the price...at least here in Dominican Republic.

Verry smooth rum, maybe even a little to smooth for me. I like sweet rums foto dessert or rums with a kick on a late evening. This one was neither one but not bad either.

Egy számomra teljesen átlagos rum. Tisztán nagy élvezetet nekem nem jelentett,de long drinkhez kellemes.

Kis süteményes beütés,kellemes illat jellemzi.
Az íz már elmarad az illattól.

Is an extremely tender rum, with a sweet caramel flavour, which give a specific character to this product of Dominica republic.

Nice, posh looking bottle and nice colour to start with. This rum is not sweet, has a nice oaky flavor, but not too strong that makes it go down really easily. Very nice sipping rum at a decent price too.

In der Nase fruchtig und etwas bissig. (Relativ dezent, Karamell, Kakao, Leder, Früchte, nicht bissig)
Im Gaumen doch etwas zu flach, Trockenfrüchte, Toffee, Leder. (etwa so)
Nicht so süss. (jawohl)
Abgang schwach.
(Gutes Preis/Leistung Verhältnis für Einsteiger.)

a slightly fruty and biting nose.
On the palate, a bit too shallow, dried fruits, toffee, leather.
Not so sweet.
Weak in the finish.
