Smag super god mums kan helt klart anbefale den ligger godt i maven
I am always looking for a rum that tastes different, but this one disappoint. You can taste molasses right away, but is just not as tasty as what i am looking for; it just taste the same as other rums.
For me, I am always looking for a rum that is dark, sweet, and smooth; but this one is not.
Good rum, but not the best sipping tasting oneβ¦. Where is tattooβ¦
Un bon petit rhum Γ l'espagnole pas cher et sympa. GoΓ»t caramel tout en restant lΓ©ger.
It's pretty smooth and although it's very sweet, I really enjoyed it...
Described as 'smokey' by some of the colleagues here. I think it perfectly fits. Not my fav but good quality drink indeed. I just more prefer rounded taste, sweeter rums with really specific character and this one is lil bit forgettable.

Not too sweet, not too dry, not too strong. It has some mild dark flavour to it but little aftertaste, which I think it's what could improve this rum ratings one or two points. Fairly cheap and definitely easy to sip. I will enjoy it once, but I wouldn't buy it again for myself.
It comes in a black-and-gold-printed sturdy cardboard box, which makes it an excellent corporate gift.
It tastes stronger than Barcelo Imperial Onyx, good rum for the price.

The nose is light and gentle.
"Itβs quite nicely balanced but just a little bit too nice."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Subtle rum

Let's get the stupid stuff out of the way first. I find it interesting that the way the bottle is shaped and the thickness of the glass makes for a chiming rhythmic sound when you hold it with two fingers by the neck (just below the lip) and drum on the plastic cap. BTW, the plastic cap and the artificial "cork" are one of the few detrimental elements of this rum. It is a tight fit and I've read more than one complaint of people having the cork break apart from the plastic cap when attempting to uncork the bottle. That element of cheapness should not be present in a rum that costs $40+.
I'm easily amused.
Anyway, this rum is somewhat paradoxical for me. Very little odor in the bottle and the flavor is equally as subtle. Not sweet but really not dry either. Has some woodiness to it. I don't know how they achieved this. I don't mean this has no flavor or character because it has both but from all the rums I've sampled thus far this one is arguably the best balanced one of them all. It would make for a good sipping rum as well as a good mixer. It won't overwhelm mixed drinks but instead complements what is used whether is be fruit based, coffee, frozen or just in a cola. Definitely a "must have".
