Barcelo from the DR is some good stuff! Balanced, smooth not too sweet.

I seem to like rum from Dominican Republic. Pretty good.

It's a good rum, no doubt, but it doesn't stand out at all. In my opinion, it lacks a bit of the body and balance that an aged rum is supposed to have. has a poor aftertaste

Nose: caramel and raisins with floral tones
Palate: Soft, then quickly becoming fruitier, with nuanced flavors of roasted nuts, toffee, caramel and vanilla
Finish: the caramel and toffee stay for some time, but no longlasting finish unfortunately

Overall I found this rum rather monotonous and the finish was not that longlasting but it might be a nice sipper for people looking for a starter into the world of rums

A great all around rum for sipping or mixing into custom cocktails. A must for any collection.

I was not impressed by this rum, and I was looking forwards to trying it.

This is really nice rum. Sharp, tobacco, smoke on nose. The first sip warms you instantly. Sweetish, with tobacco flavor. Some vanilla at the end. Bit sharp. Definitely not great choice for beginners, but indeed a lovely sipper.

Bottle purchased at Central Liquor Des Moines. Crazy cheap at less than $20. Dark gold in color. Super aromatic- leather, cherries, toffee, oak. Flavor less impressive. Light and thin. Oranges. Brown sugar. Still a great bargain.

Une couleur cuivre foncé avec une belle rondeur dans le verre. le nez est léger, léger caramel et floral. En bouche l'attaque est souple et la rondeur vient de suite au palais on sent bien la noisette grillée le côté beurré. La finale est assez courte mais chaleureuse et beurré avec du caramel et du chocolat noir. Rhum simple très accessible qui plaira aux noviced
