Barcelo Imperial rum is produced in the Dominican Republic using column stills before aged in white oak casks for up to 10 years.
Ron Barcelo was founded in 1929 by Spanish entrepreneur Julian Barcelo in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The brand was sold mainly in the Caribbean and North America until a much broader international expansion began in 1992.

The taste and smell mix without anyone being pregnant except the alcohol.
I really like that bottle style but not like that taste
I'm not a rum drinker but while in Cap Cana wanted to try something different. Others nearby said it was the best rum in the world. Obviously they were drunk or persuaded, it smells like maple syrup, not very smooth, 75 proof is really it's only benefit. Again, I'm not a rum drinker.

I generally like sipping rum not mixing, it was okey but i don't think that will not buy again a bottle, i would not recommend to beginners

Tasty but not quite great yet. It is not too sweet which is pleasant but overall I feel as some body would be good to complete the taste as the aftertaste is a bit flat.

bananas, molasses, sugar sweet, not much alcohol burn. A good value if you can find it vs. the other sweeter rums, but too sweet for me.

Not complex but straightforward toffee flavor and some heat. Not bad and not great.

Nothing against it, but nothing for it either.
Plantation Barbados (http://www.rumratings.com/brands/642-plantation-barbados-5-year-rum) costs 2.5$ less and is a far better choice!
