Bottle purchased at Laka Lono. Amber gold in color. Don’t dare to inhale an aroma. Also don’t dare to try this neat. However, with 3/4 oz fresh lime, 3/4 oz cinnamon syrup shaken on crushed ice- this is potable. Also, a very useful rum to ignite in drinks.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Ok, so the notes reveal that I did drink this in Daiquiri form (SotoDax) and cut with a bit of Appleton so that explains why at the time I gave it a 5/5. I have downgraded it a bit here but please note I did enjoy it.
Noted from that tasting day at Laka Lono 9/19/21 include
#SotoRocks, a reference to our most excellent Sunday bartender who did make this rum more sippable that it probably should have been and "just enjoy," which surely were words of coaching from the rocking Soto.
It was a little funky, in a good way, and what wouldn't be at the 151 level? 6/10
UPDATE: This is one of the rums that we discovered I had double-tasted/entered in my rum passport, and the proof is in this entry from just a month later:

YIKES
This is harsh.
But I like rum.
This time around I gave it 2 bottles of 5 so I will adjust my earlier rating downward a bit to form an average.
