Easily consumable in a bind
I was very hesitant to try this rum after having had rotten luck with their 9 year old rum. So was this white rum at the start of their whole process to blame or was it their aging methods? Evidently, their aging methods are to be blamed because it is extremely rare for a distiller's white rum to be better than their aged rum, which is the case here! Go figure! I rate this one slightly above average for white rums. Since Cana Brava 3 Year is no longer available, this should satisfy as a substitute, but not quite.
A 5.5 on my scale. Sweeter than I would have thought for a light rum and not much of an after burn. Panama-Pacific does not disappoint. Not the best straight, but a new go to for mixing.
