Dillin XO byl první agricole který jsem ochutnal. Úmyslně jsem zvolil střední cestu, ani nic levného, ani extrémně drahé, přecejenom agricole nechutná každému. Voní hezky, i když proti jiným rumům zvláštně, chuť mě opravdu neoslovila. Tuhle láhem mám už delší dobu a ubývá, oproti jiným lahvím, pomalu. Postupně snad přicházím Dillonu i na chuť.

A dry rum (this is what I like) with a soft final.

Bought two bottles of this in France, while driving down to Spain.
It has replaced the “XO Hors d’Age Grenadier” which is still to be found even if it’s getting tougher and tougher to find it.
This one is aged for at least 9 years while the precursor “The Grenadier” was aged for at least 10 years.
It was sold at sales at the supermarket together with two Dillon glasses for just 26€. The ordinary price is between 40€ and 55€, without glasses.
It’s very aromatic and complex and you can recognize wood, vanilla, fruit and cinnamon.
It’s a great Rhum, but I don’t think it reaches the level of the precursor, the Grenadier.
