Alkohol: 43 %
Původ: Martinik
Aroma: Vyzrálá, výrazná, hutná a zároveň uhlazená vůně, s cedrem, kůží a karamelem. Nejintenzivnější složkou je cedr s kůží. V druhé vlně květinové aroma,
vůně je vrstevnatá a občas vykouknou plástve, až připomíná Angosturu. (88 b)

Bought this one in France, while driving down to Spain.
It has replaced the “Reserve du Comte Arthur Dillon” which is still to be found, in after what I have understood, in two different ageings, 4yo and 8yo.
This VSOP is aged for at least 4 years and the price was just 20€ at the supermarket.
The nose is a little sharp, but not as sharp as the 3yo “Carte Noire”. The taste in mouth and during the medium long afterburn it’s quite smooth.
You can recognize vanilla, prunes, chocolate, dried fruit and some cinnamon.
Pictures: My opened bottle & My Dillon shelf.
For your notice:
Most of the reviews under this image is over the “Réserve du Comte Arthur Dillon, 4yo”, but this VSOP is maybe the same Rhum in a new bottle.

43% abv. Nice golden amber colour in the glass , I expected a lot of alcohol vapours like other recent VSOP 's. I was pleasantly surprised that this wasn't the case. Aroma of honey or caramel , bits of vanilla and slightly fruity. Bit of a bite on entry but not unpleasant. Tastes of white fruit , honey , spice and no discernable vegetal notes. Worth a 6.5 , nice surprise.

Dillon V.S.O.P Rhum Très Vieux Réserve du Comte Arthur Dillon Tres Vieux is a full-bodied golden rhum agricole with a complex flavor profile and notes of sugar cane, caramel. Aged for at least 8 years. It still has a little smokiness, oak flavor barrel , with hints of dried fruits, spices and nougat. Dillon VSOP Rhum Très Vieux comes in a wooden box, so it is very suitable as a gift!

Obecne se k agricole rumu musim propit a muzu hodnotit az po vypiti alespon 2/3 lahve... Na me az moc vyrazne drevo v chuti. Postupne jsem si v nem nasel zajimave chute a nemuzu rict, ze bych litoval teto koupe. Ale davam prednost jinym typum rumu.

Visited the Dillon Distillery while vacationing in Martinique. Distillery tours were closed for public, so got the Dillon VSOP from a local grocery store at EUR 17 per bottle. Pretty decent old school bottle and label design. Traditional dry Rhum Agricole notes followed by grass and floral bouquet plus plenty of strong oak to your nose and palate. Very strong burn at the end. Rhum Agricole lovers can add 2 points to my score.

Typical taste od dark agricole rhum but not above average.
Fresh and fruity taste with tones of limes. Feels spicy in mouth qhich reminds 43% alcohol volume. Smoked wood finish.

Your review – you could include things like color, aroma, body, taste, finish, spice, smoothness… really anything you want! You can also share an optional picture of the drink (or better still - you enjoying it!) by attaching a photo below.

My second taste of Martinique rum. Should've learned my lesson the first time. 1 litre of petrol is £1.10 at the moment and a better way to spend your cash.
