Dostal jsem jej dárkem na Vánoce.
Očekával jsem něco trochu jiného, ale nakonec jsem velmi spokojen.
Je sladký tak akorát na pomalé večerní popíjení.

When I ordered it was a novelty for me, I had never heard of Labourdonnais rums. I was surprised by the taste, it reminds me a lot of Don Papa. At the evening sitting, my friend and I drank almost the entire bottle, although this is not usual.

An okay-ish young rum with vanilla nose and very apparent port wine barrel presence - quite gentle, rounded, sweet (not overly) and "winey". Of course not complex at all, short finish and definitely no all-night-long rum. Good to sip with GFs, wives, moms...
It's also slightly better than anything I've had from Mauritius so far (Dodo, Emperor).

Alcohol: 40%
Age: 2 years / 2 months with vanilla macerated inside it

Smell: A flood of vanilla. A bit of sugarcane. Its obviously agricole rum, even over all that vanilla, but these are only two things you can smell from it

Taste: Very sweet, almost like elixir, only weak burn in aftertaste. Not much complex, but what would you expect at 2yo rum? A lot of vanilla, almost drowning in it. Light rum, not heavy, not hard on your stomach. Nice to deserts and in cocktails. I really enjoy its sweet taste.
