I don't think this is intended to be drunk undiluted, but it's wonderful sprinkled over chocolate cake (transformational!) and great added to coffee. My Dad, who was Austrian, used to add it to his coffee on a cold day. Personally, I wouldn't add it to mulled wine because the flavour is a bit too assertive, shall we say. I always keep a bottle handy, myself.

I don’t agree with the poor ratings but to each is own. You don’t need a lot of rum, I mean jet fuel to do the trick. The flavour is chocolate like and is actually smooth. Long nose. I would say it’s a good complementary rum when you’re tasting unique blends.

This is unique and interesting. Absolutely love it straight. I'm sure mixing this makes it more palatable for less daring drinkers, but in my humble opinion, it is wonderful by itself for more seasoned individuals not so easily overcome by a throat burn. I don't enjoy taking shots, because it bypasses too much of the experience of any alcohol. Room temperature and slow, full mouth swallows is my way to fully enjoy this gem. If you have to be reminded not to drink 160 proof alcohol too quickly, then maybe learning from that mistake will be a potent lesson.

Only if you are real drinkers you can manage to feel the wonderful taste of this rum.
it is not true that you do not hear that it is a rum if I didn't known that it is Austrian I would not believe

A very unique rum, easy to judge negatively. However if you take time to appreciate its sophistication you will find its utterly fabulous

It has been over twenty years since I've had Stroh Rum. Last time I had, the bottles were clear - not tinted. Now I just can't find it here in the D.C. Metropolitan area. As I recall, it was some good hardy rum just the same!

This is a real rum its a mixer how u mix it depends soley on u start of covid ibougth it to kill germs in air ways. Sipped a bit hot coffe after and feelt a strong burn as it evaporated up again. Its some of the worst things u sip but mix it with some 40 abv and u get a 60 with lots of arrak and it lends quite nice flavours then u made a 60 abv sipping drink. Its probably best for baking as its intended but the flavouring is real good but it should never stand on its own legs if i would drink this by it self i would give it maximum 3 as i feelt alive and got some nice arrak out of it as well this stuff burns up the parts of the body it comes into contact with

This is what the old Boys from Brazil used to put in their tea. One drop on the tongue tastes like you've chomped down on a Cadbury Rum and Butter candy bar, shooters not recommended. I'm just suggestible enough to try and find some today; haven't had this in over 30 years.
