For a fairly new distillery they're already "spot on"! Absolutely no added sugar and a real rum for real pirates! I've been getting into these micro distilleries lately because they're not into mass production and mass marketing. They steer a true course and that's what I've been looking for. At 7yrs of it stands up quite well against any mass produced 12yr old I've ever had! Makes me wonder how true that 12yr old statement really is. Great job Newport brewey/distillery. I also got 2 other rums from them. One is their single barrel which is their main rum and the other is a port cask finish. I look forward to enjoying them so stay tuned. Oh, and their brews are also "spot on"!

A great higher proof pot still rum distilled in Rhode Island. It has a nice complex flavor without a ton of alcohol spice for a 100 proof rum. With a minimum of 7 years, it actually tastes older than it is. Search out this rum.

This Rum holds some of the Bourbon flavor as the result of aging in Bourbon Barrels, it mixes well and leaves a pleasant taste when served as a sipper.
