Lots of floral tones and notes of lime.
Taste bit like plum brandy, but fuity and smooth.
Excellent for Ti' Punch

Got this rum as the agricole element in my Mai Tais. Nice grassy herbal notes. Does nicely paired with Appleton Estate Rare Blend 12 yr Rum. Very nice in my mai tai.

It's hard to find a variety of blanc agricole rums down in Miami, so I'm grateful to have this in the mix with the omnipresent the usual suspects in N. America (Clement and Rhum J.M). For the pricepoint and profile, it's a good buy, and does a very standard ti'punch, appropriately vegetal and citrusy, although not nearly as bright as La Favorite.

40º is obviously very low for this style and doesn't bring out the more exciting peppery notes you'll hit at 50º, but it will do the trick.

Okey, keep in mind this is a cheap agricole rum intended for random french supermarkets, but to me it has it's qualities… obviously not primarily for sipping, even though you should cautiously try that anyway, this is a solid mixer and the basic and cheap entry into the agricole world, even though it clearly does some older agricole rums injustice.

A bit fruity with tons of burn. May be decent for mixxers.

Have had both the 40 and 50% one. I prefer the latter because it has more character. On its own its too strong and boozy without real other detectable notes. HSE, Dillon, Neisson are all better choices.

You can upgrade this rum with some berries and juice in a mojito to be a 6-7 star one. But as it is - 5.0.

For Ti-punch, and that's it. End of story, nothing to add.

Got a bottle of Saint James Imperial Blanc from a local grocery store on my last night here at CDMX. Bottle and label design looks very nice and unique. Strong alcohol from the sugarcane and an explosion of floral notes to your nose and palate. This is not a neat sipper due to such a strong burn, so mix it up with your favorite soda.

Decent rhum for this cheap price. I drink it with lemon and sugar (ti punch)

Posted over 4 years ago by David from Germany with 74 ratings

The rum features an intrusive floral taste and a harsh ethanol flavor. It is okay for mixing.
