Ve vůni i v chutí jemný, nasládlý, poměr cena výkon luxus 👏

Many thanks to Joola69 for sharing this with me as part of rare rum exchange (there were only 2 reviews before mine).

Has a nice sweet molasses, caramel, and vanilla flavor with a touch of spice. But it's rather weak also. Still, a slightly above average rum.

Go with the Esclavo XO Cask instead. That's one of my all time favorites.

Cítiť najmä karamel a jemne ovocie.

Rum tasting during the global lockdown continued with Ron Esclavo Gran Reserva. Label in the back says aged three to five years. Amber color. Strong vanilla mixed with sweetness and plenty of unaged alcohol to the nose and palate when neat sipped. Harsh and sweet burn. Not so bad in general terms, but knowing how good the rest of the Esclavo lineup really is, better skip this one.

Sweet Nose of vanilla, light apricot and milk chocolate. Actually quite good. Taste of vanilla and bit of chocolate. Sadly a little light but not that bad, but a lack of depth makes it a bit boring. But the Price is right. A few years longer in the barrels would do it good.
