I got mine at the PR airport a few years back, along with the Vermouth version. A little warm on the finish, but a subtle fruity sherry flavor on the palate. A little different sherry present, compared to scotch. But if you like sherry, this could be a good addition. On the nose I get sweet chocolate and sherry, lovely color. The palate is smooth and sweet, with a little lingering heat on the back end. The Sherry influence is good, not overpowering. A nice sipping treat from Don Q for an affordable price. I got my bottle at the PR Airport during a special, two for $80 or so.
I love Don Q but this one kinda let me down. There’s something about the aging that left me with a little burn or flavor I didn’t love.
Aroma is not strong or complex. Taste is smooth, light and a bit sweeter but not much. Aftertaste is average with sherry, oak and caramel tones
