Well this is a pretty fierce. Itโs super tasty just needs easing back a bit. To the nose itโs smokey, wood chips and caramel. Kinda bbq. Tasting is like... oooh wooooow. The flavour just blooms in you mouth. Heavy funk with a bit of sweetness and a pleasing heat (rather than straight up burn). Itโs excellent stuff. Mixes really nicely in a range of cocktails as well.
Just enough funk when you want it. Great as a mixer. A tiki must. Even great in Coke.
It was my favorite until I found Lemonhart 151.
Truly a value for money bottle. A lot of Jamaican funk right there. Banana and tropical Fruit.
Although strong (57ยฐ) this rum is perfectly balanced beetween orange peels and cinnamon with a great woody finish... Sip neat or on ice... Not for children though :-)
Intense, well made and fully immersive experience.
I love this rum, while you could sip it, it is much better with a mixer or in a cocktail. This rum has character, it has funk and flavour in every drop. Taste wise, imagine inviting a Jamaican to a party, only he brings an entire regge band complete with bob marley and all his fans and the venue is in your mouth then you'll have some idea what this is like... this is a great rum and it should not be missed!
If this was scotch Iโd call it peaty... like an islay malt. Sinus clearing.
This is probably a little strong in proof and profile for a supper, but makes an amazing base spirit in a punch or cocktail.
a bit bitter..and it got ATTITUDE

The smell is rich, sugary, heavy molasses.
"It leaves a long lasting tingle on the tongue and in the roof of your mouth. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
