Ce rhum épicé sent et goûte la rose sauvage. Très particulier au goût aucun autre de ce genre. Je l aime bien pour son unicité.

Sweet honey followed by floral and finishes with... well, gunpowder like the bottle says. Not sure what to think of a rum that tastes like the smell of gunpowder. It works for at least one or two drinks as it takes you on that flavour journey every sip. It is better than their chaga flavoured rum, which isnt saying much since the chaga shouldnt have ever been made. Good for a novelty. Makes me want to go moose hunting.

This is Appleton Gold carefully and well spiced, somehow pretending to be aged rum. Gentle alcohol kick follows with delicious, spicy aftertaste. Interesting \ something new under the sun

Very light nose, just a mild hint of spice and herbs. Watery mouthful nut a pleasant flavor. Not quite a sipper but would be fun in certain cocktails that require a mild but present flavors. Has potential.

Nice flavour. Would rather a touch of real gunpowder.

COLOUR: Dark copper with gold and brown highlights; dark apple juice.

NOSE: Sharpie marker; acetone; mild gasoline; thin and watery; salty sea air; funky Jamaican rum; flowery meadow. Score 5/10

TASTE: Rich & thick; smooth; mildly sweet; rummy; young Jamaican rum funk; smoke on the water (very subtle). Score 6/10

FINISH: Medium; lasting burn; sweet rummy rollback on tongue; coconuts on the last sip. Score 5/10

OVERALL: Tastes like a rum; interesting, but ultimately unmemorable; not worth repeating. Weighted Average 5.6

IMAGERY: Tooling around in the ocean in your motorboat, and the fuel line is leaking into the sea overboard.

I moved from the UK to Newfoundland in 2020, so this is well and truly in the cabinet. However, the salt, acting as a less toxic equivalent to saltpeter found in gunpowder, gives this a roughness that might otherwise not be there. The novelty is appealing at first, but generally I find this aspect makes it a bit of an effort to drink compared to other rums in the price range. It also doesn't work well in mixed drinks as far as my experience goes.

Intriguing floral twist but more a curiosity than a serious rum

Légers aromes floraux et fumés. En bouche, on remarque un côté salé et minéral. Unique en son genre.

A slight bite. A good sipping rum. Not overpowering. Slight aroma.
