good price, good rum, dosage 8 grams per liter ... so it s a little bit sweetened,
really don t like rum with sugar added, this one have 3 grams too much...
Hazelnut, leather, and rose aromas that carry through on the palate. Finishes dry and leathery. French oak influence is quite assertive and even reminiscent of cognac. This is nice stuff.

Très content d'avoir dégusté le Barbancourt 15 ans qui n'est pas disponible au Canada avec mon frère qui l'a trouvé au USA. Le meilleur des 3 rhums Barbancourt, plus doux et un peu plus boisé. Il se déguste bien.
For the price, by far my favorite. I always have two bottles in my bar.
I’m not an expert but I’ve drunken a lot of rums. I was excited about this one because of the hype. I was in PAP for a day and got a bottle of the 8 yo rum. It’s very light for a dark rum and has a slightly bitter taste. After a few sips I got used to the bite and enjoyed it a bit more. Had a mellow finish. Will drink more to train my pallet on this unique taste.

Rhum avec peu ou sans sucre ajouté (~5g/L) et trouvable pour 50-60€.
Il est puissant sans pour autant s'imposer sur les arômes, il combine des notes puissantes de cannelle et de café avec une fin plus boisée.
Un bon rhum de transition quand on a l'habitude de plus doux et pour commencer à découvrir une plus grande variété de saveurs.

Light oak, notes of brown sugar. Spiciness from higher alcohols. Dark chocolate finish.
Lacking body.
Barbancourt 15 is mature, but overall not much better than the light and young mass marketed rums that are widely available.

This is not the best rum by any circumstance, but it goes so we'll with a bold cigar that I buy a new bottle every time Im out. Very smooth but boozy on the nose with a good amount of banana at the end. If you add ice, it opens up to more of a whisky with floral and vanilla offering.

an extremely great rum in my view, even though the bottle and bottle cap appear somewhat ordinary; but when you take a first smell you know immediately that this is a very intensive rum; flavour is very complex and the first taste gives my always the feeling that a complex wave of flavours (candied citrus fruits) is rolling through my mouth; some guests have described that taste as too heavy from their perspective; the aftertaste is very long; extremely good rum especially if you are not looking just for some kind of sweet smooth dessert rum
