Just had a sample for the tasting so it’s just a first impression, but I’m surely not gonna dig deeper into it.
It’s coming from the Philippines.
It’s a sugar and vanilla bomb and that’s the only aromas and tastes that I could recognize. If there’s anything else it disappears in the sugar and vanilla.
Can’t recommend it.

Smell is sweet and bites. Lots of vanilla on the palate. It doesn't finish well, short and long harshness to it. Needs more balance.

Nose has aromas of vanilla, caramel, and a lot of sweetness. The flavor isn’t much different. It’s extremely sweet. The aftertaste is harsh. This rum is one I would lump in the category with the Bacardi flavors: decent for mixed drinks only. Don’t waste your time.

No depth or decent rum flavors here. The flavors are very faint, no complexity, and a short, week finish.

Bra doft. Lättdrucken. Vanilj.

In the nose there is a little oak, fudge and almond, very sweet but not very strong. On the palate nothing really happens though it is a tad less sweet that the nose indicates. not much fruity notes in there (which I expect in a 5yo) but there is a rather strong bitter (coffee with cream) joining in as well as marshmellow.

Apart from the bitter notes, that help to disguise the added sweeteners, there is nothing standing out. Lack of character and apparently sweetened to make up for its flaws. In the end too sweet as a sipper and I doubt it has enough taste to be used as a mixer. Not recommended.

I never heard of this rum before but got to try it through the rum advent calendar. While it wasn't as bad as I was fearing it's still not really worthy of a sipper and is best used for a mixer.

Sweet nose after a time. Vanila. A bit dry, but also choko flavours and cinnamon. Grows a lot if you give it time to breath. A bit taste of Christmas. I am Secret fan. (December 10th 2019 in calender from 1423)
