Both nose and mouth are typical from WP : moderate esters (green banana/ananas/zests), slightly vegetal, delicate wood with a slightly dusty, mineral part. The more sweet and round aromas balance very well the funky side. Quite a civilized Jamaican excepted that the alcohol is not so well integrated. Very well priiced, by the way. Far from the hype brands pricetags...

This is a Jamaica Single Cask Pot Still Rum, distilled at the Worthy Park distillery and bottled with 56,6%, aged for 12 years. Nosing is a great pleasure with intense fruity notes coming out of the glass. The palate of the first sip is quite spicy/medical with a clearly noticeable attack. But this quickly turns into intense fruity notes, which also dominate the nice finish. Overall a very good and interesting rum. Real grade is 8-9.

Already when you open the bottle a dry banana smell gets into your nose.
The nose is full of banana and some anise. Quite simple but very fruity and strong nose.
The taste is also strong, you get some sharpness from the alcohol and a lot of fruits.
There are some similiarities to Velier WPM 2006. But this one is not that complex.
You get the anise, orange and banana as initial taste. After that the orange turns into bitter orange peels (cask influence). There are again a lot of fruits with wood at the end of the middle taste.
The finish starts spicy, with everything I had before.
It's a very fruity rum with bright aromas and a lot of bananas (a typical WP).
The alcohol is sharp, I think with some more years in the cask it would became a much better WP.
But there is a lot of potential in this rum.
