New-ish to rum. This was a great selection compared to my previous rums. Dry, smooth, some spice, subtle oakyness. As other reviewers note, it benefits from a rest. I had with an ice cube and it went down great!

This isn’t an typical rum. Don’t drink to fast from the bottle. Let the little overproof alcohol vapour. The taste widens when time go by. I can taste the plantation xo in it. Still a little dryer more fruits in it. The dry fruits does me think more to cognac where this rum is aged 2 years after 11 years in Barbados. If u like dry rums or like cognac this would be for you. Not the best rum, but it’s something special.

First in the tasting of the vintage series. Very tasteful, good aroma, could see myself being a pirate laying in the shade on a beach drinking this

Another winner especially at the price point of less than $50 USD; light fruit,, spice on the nose; smooth vanilla across the tongue along with more spice, very good with a cube of ice; if I can find it, it is another permanent in my bar.

11 + 2-3 roky stará směs Pot Still a Column Still rumů, přičemž Pot Still složka zjevně převládá, takže výsledek je až překvapivě ostrý a ovocný.

Another great rum from plantation. The time spent in cognac cask softens the bourbon notes. Definitely worth the price.

Dont buy it! No flavour, only alcohol smell and taste. Dry anyway.

Nose, definitely Barbados, toffee, caramel. First sip neat, nice Barbados flavor, smooth not too hot, notes of coconut and caramel. I am a huge fan of Barbados rum, this 2005 offering by Plantation has a nice smoothness and sweetness, par the course for most Plantation, but I love their rums, as well as the more expensive offerings by Foursquare of course but I find this to be delicious and smooth. Added ice for an even more pleasant flavor and it opened up the other flavors such as molasses and vanilla.

Nice flavor, but let it breathe for a minute or so.

A bit spirty with a generally sweet and bland tone, a good rum for sipping, very good for a 13 year old rum.
