Ron de Marinero Organic Gold

Ein Fairtrade Bio Ron aus paraguayischer bio Melasse, in der Schweiz destilliert und in Eichenstanden gereift. Das Etikett ist aus Zuckerrohr Fasern.
Schönes honigfarbenes Bernstein im Glas.
In der Nase eine elegante Mischung von grasigen, floralen, erdigen und holzigen Düften. Weisse Früchte, Äpfel, Birnen, Kirschen, Quitten mit Moos, Torf, Harz und Holz durchmischt.
Im Gaumen sehr nahe an einem typischen Schweizer Obstbrand. Früchte wie Äpfel, Birne und Quitte dominieren das Ganze tragen aber die lieblichen Karamell, Melasse, Vanille Aromen würdevoll mit.
Im Abgang etwas süsslich und feurig aber angenehm lang bis am Ende nur noch die Quitte bleibt.
Ein sauberes gemachtes Melasse Destillat. Vielleicht etwas zu sauber um ein Rum zu sein ?
Durchaus eine Sünde wert, auch weil Bio und Fairtrade Rum selten sind. Für Entdecker. 7+

A Fairtrade Organic Ron from Paraguayan organic molasses, distilled in Switzerland and matured in oak stands. The label is made of sugar cane fibres.
Beautiful honey-coloured amber in the glass.
In the nose an elegant mixture of grassy, floral, earthy and woody scents. White fruits, apples, pears, cherries, quinces mixed with moss, peat, resin and wood.
On the palate very close to a typical Swiss fruit brandy. Fruits like apples, pears and quince dominate the whole, but the sweet caramel, molasses, vanilla aromas dignifiedly carry along.
In the finish a little sweet and fiery but pleasantly long to the end only the quince remains.
A clean made molasses distillate. Maybe a bit too clean to be a rum ?
Quite a sin worth, also because organic and Fairtrade rum are rare. For explorers. 7+
