Dogfish Head Barrel Honey rum, a double pot-distilled, Grade A molasses-based rum that’s diluted to about 110 proof before aging in new char #3 American white oak barrels for a little over a year. After aging, they dilute the rum to 80 proof and add local honey before bottling. This is an evolved version of their original Brown Honey Rum.

Dogfish Honey is refreshing, sweet but not syrupy, great on the rocks, straight up, or with a splash of ginger ale or mixed with any favorite mix. I wish it was available around me more. Guessing they are moving on to other options.
Bought this cause beer is so good, so was let down by this. Shared this,
both agreed it was just ok.Fairly smooth flavor is hidden not real harsh on finish. Just found mostly unused bottle when looking through liquor cabinet and remembered it guess one could say it is largely forgettable.
This is a definitely a bit of a lighter rum in terms of mouth feel, but it's smooth and there's still a nice complexity of flavors. It's not overly sweet either so it can be used in a wide variety of drinks. The barrel component is apt to appeal to a whiskey or bourbon drinker who might be dipping their toe into the world of rum.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I love this stuff! Yes it is a little sweet, and yes it tastes like honey, but I love honey flavored alcohol drinks. The sweetness is not overpowering and it makes a nice sipper.
