Venezuela | Aged | 40% ABV

Santa Teresa 1796 rum is produced in Venezuela and aged using the solera system that blends rums aged between 4 and 35 years. Before bottling, the rum is aged for a further year in large French oak casks to marry the blends.

This rum was first created in 1996 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the distillery, the Santa Teresa Hacienda.

Smells and tastes of caramel, molasses, vanilla, and a light oak

Not really the type of rum that I prefer - a bit too dry for my taste - but certainly not a bad rum. Would prefer this over a Zacapa 23 Solera.

I mix everything, I just can't take neat spirits, this is a lovely rum with coke

Of the fancy upscale rums I know, this is by far the driest. Complex nose, very tasty, shortish finish, seemed to me. I would not mix, but it is not like drinking Gosling or Bacardi 8 anos or even Cruzan dark. Do serve in a wine or tasting glass to get as much of the fruit and honey smells as possible. Real nice, and will teach your about rum dryness, I think.

Rhum très sec avec un final trop fort dénaturant le goût.

It is an amber colored rum with reddish tones. The smell of the fruit stands out and the flavor of notes mellow, woody andum. A clear opponent of Diplomático reserva exclusiva

Elegant rom med smag af brændt sukker. Flot gyldne farve

Un rhum complexe et très agréable. Plus élaboré que certains "Rhum" mais restant accessible

Has such a tasty smokey flavor. Two fingers, a handful of ice and a warm fire. Doesn't get better than that.
