Santa Teresa 1796 rum is produced in Venezuela and aged using the solera system that blends rums aged between 4 and 35 years. Before bottling, the rum is aged for a further year in large French oak casks to marry the blends.

On s'attendraitdu San Teresa à une degustation agrèable et distincte. On boit toutefois un rhum semblable aux autres. Malheureusement il manque de distinction.

It is too good, this is the only defect. It miss imperfection. Full of aromas and tastes, smooth, toffe, caramel, coffe, chocolate, very easy and pleasurable to drink.

This rum is pretty sweet and it is pretty smooth for a rum at this price. It’s a good choice for its category. Some Venezuelan friends introduced me to this rum when I living in Buenos Aires. They were proud to share it with me. So this rum carries good memories for me and I hope it does for you, too.

Flavour has all kinds of oaky sweetness to it. Second sip gives me distinct ripe cherries. Third sip gives a ton of raisins and sweetness. Fourth sip is candied fruits with a hint of spices.
Tons of flavour, no bite, decent price. It’s a winner.

The first rum I tasted which made me realise good rum can be. I still have a soft spot for it.

One of the best Venezuelan rums, just ice to cool it a bit and that's it. I do have to say that Rhum Orange from the same distillery is a wonderful after dinner drink.

It is a pretty good and decent rum. Easy to drink. Would prefer to use it as a mixer maybe.

with dry i mean naturally sweet, good rum but it have less alcohol than declared
(40% on the label, hydrometer says 36,96% ABV) so a point less (i would gave this an 8 but i
really don t like the idea someone is watering rum to get more bottles, because this is the only
reason, some light Cubans also are 38% ABV but it s on the label ),
you will find it at very good price in Italian supermarket Ipercoop, in my country it costs around 53 euro
some older drinkers will maybe remember Jack Daniel s in 1987 started watering their product (until than it was bottled at 45% ABV), but at least it was written on the label !

Smooth sipping rum with a hint of bananas and exotic finish. Feels like a vacation in a glass.
