Santa Teresa 1796 rum is produced in Venezuela and aged using the solera system that blends rums aged between 4 and 35 years. Before bottling, the rum is aged for a further year in large French oak casks to marry the blends.
This rum was first created in 1996 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the distillery, the Santa Teresa Hacienda.
I have had this on many occasions. It has much more alcohol in the aftertaste, which is not my everyday preference. Good taste and cool bottle
Note di degustazione
Good color, aroma, and body.
Preferably on the rocks.
Har helt sin egen smagsprofil, krydret og med megen frugt og friskhed, men alligevel knap så sød. Lidt henad cognac. Virker meget autentisk.
En let, fyldig smag. Let sødme. Og bare super lækker!
This rum I feel is being held back. The notes are there, but aren't really forceful. I feel like they purposely hold it back to appeal to more people.
It´s a nice rum but it doesn`t knock my socks off:-)
Excellent ron, great and sweet at nose, complex in mouth.
Has a light sweetnes to it with notes of vanilla and spices.
This is a nice complex rum with a variety of flavors. This should be enjoyed neat or on the rocks. The only complaint is the price point. For $10 less I can get some Ron Zacapa, which is just as good, and may be better as far as the aromatics are concerned.
I liked this rum, not one of my favourite but surely an intresting bottle. I found it better with a bit of water.
all the good things about the style
Joli rhum, savoureux, assez complexe
Got a bottle from one of our distributors and really liked it.
Well, another of my early rums...
I have to admit to this being added to my list of favorites as it's just to my taste. Not too heavy but with a good strong spicy flavor. Yummy!
Very Nice Smooth rum
A nice and rich taste
Fruty and sweet , i think it's the best from Venezuela .
Santa Teresa 1796 is a solera rum from Venezuela.
Nose is very soft and has some toffee and hints of spices.
Body is rather dry and very well balanced. It has a great combination of fruits, wood, cacao and some tabaco. Compaired to many other solera rums Santa Teresa 1796 is less sweet. It has an interesting character and is a very nice heavy sipping rum.
Its finish is very soft but rather short and less intensive compared to others in its (price) range.
Santa Teresa is a good pick if you´re looking for something less sweet with lots of flavours at a really fair price.
Quite cheap , this rum is a very nice experience
I ordered a bottle online and was very happy that I did. I saw some good reviews and this is a very solid sipping rum. I would put it up with any rum in its price class.
Great taste of rich toffee and caramel. Very light rum. VERY Good
