Santa Teresa 1796 rum is produced in Venezuela and aged using the solera system that blends rums aged between 4 and 35 years. Before bottling, the rum is aged for a further year in large French oak casks to marry the blends.
This rum was first created in 1996 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the distillery, the Santa Teresa Hacienda.

une bouteille à 40€ qui a obtenu la récompense de meilleur rhum au monde, fallait que je test.
Et ce fut une trés belle surprise!!
A ce prix là il entre dans mon top 3 dans cette catégorie de prix.
A prendre les yeux fermés.

The box, the bottle, THE COLOR. All is soo beautiful. Taste is strong for real men, not for weak!
This was a good rum for the price. little bit to me but a good drink.

Cool bottle,nice price and a spicy rum. This is a very good buy in the middle class together with Diplomatico Reserva etc..

This rum suprised me, it has strong body, qualite alcohol tail, strong aroma, still you can find smoothness in the taste.

I prefer sweet rums, this is fine but ED12 was better.

Always wanted to try this one since I discovered a palate for rum. After nearly a decade got a chance to enjoy some. As with many solera-aged rums the younger rum hits up from and the older rum smooths the finish out. Decent sipper and mixer.
