Santa Teresa 1796 rum is produced in Venezuela and aged using the solera system that blends rums aged between 4 and 35 years. Before bottling, the rum is aged for a further year in large French oak casks to marry the blends.

Surprised this one has such a low score as I think it's one of the best bang for buck rums in my collection.

A bit of spice, not too sweet. A fantastic rum to sip, savor and enjoy

This is a delicious rum from start to finish. Somewhat sweet with nice butterscotch tones to it. Does make my tongue tingle. This is my go-to Rum. This is in my top 5 with Vizcaya VXOP , Plantation XO 20th Anniversary, Zafra 21 and Kirk and Sweeney 23 as my official sipping rums.

Un profumo indimenticabile con un forte sentore di ciliegie e frutti rossi. Amabile con finale medio corto. Delizioso

yeah thats my style of rum. Honey, melasa, vanilla a bit of oak, well balanced with spice. For sipper it its highly recommend. Very good and not to sweet.

Santa Teresa is amazing. In many ways it would top my list. An issue that I often find in rums is that they are underproofed. This is not the case of Santa Teresa, a not too-sweet taste that goes perfectly with mineral water. You do not get as much of the fruity and nutty flavor of sweeter rums, but in exchange you get a smooth fine single honey flavor that'll make you happy in the rum sense and you'll appreciate it.

This is probably one of the most underrated rums I've tried besides the Ron Centenario 20-Year.

Smells and tastes of caramel, butterscotch, molasses, honey, vanilla, and a light oak. This is exactly the type of rum I love. It's especially good for the low price of only $38.49 (Total Wine & More, 2020 price).
