Santa Teresa 1796 rum is produced in Venezuela and aged using the solera system that blends rums aged between 4 and 35 years. Before bottling, the rum is aged for a further year in large French oak casks to marry the blends.

So following the user manual, I have to give it only a 6. Wich is : " Tasty, but not quite great ".
I can' t say more about it. It' s a very average Rum, wich makes sense when you consider the price tag.
First approach : A quite strong smell of alcohol. It almost bites my nose, if I inhale too fast. Quite sweet though.
In the mouth : Very promising, sweet and tasty, I'll let you judge of the flavors....
Aftertaste : Well, disappointing... burn burn burn... Bitter bitter bitter... Not sweet anymore. And not in the good way, not subtle, not specially powerful.
I won't try it with Coke, cause I don t see the point, but well. First and last bottle.
My limited cabinet of 20 bottles will not allow Santa Teresa in...As soon as it's finished, I ll give a chance to a new challenger...
Cheers !

Excellent rhum
