Save this for when he comes over. See if he still drinks up everything in your house after that.

One of the strongest rums I have found at 92 proof which still retains its flavour. It not only tastes good but has an outstanding ad campaign and packaging design as well as perks such as free posters and a cardboard gift tube. From what I understand this rum is produced by a company which is actually a design company who owns the rights to the art of "Sailor Jerry". Although Jerry worked out of Hawaii and not the Caribbean they have promoted this product quite well. Its a must have to decorate your home bar and a great rum to serve your friends and family. Be warned it will sneak up on you.

Love Sailor Jerry as my go to spiced rum. Smooth with lots of caramel and vanilla, and a bit of the whispering hips of a beautiful hula girl! Mix with cola or ginger ale, root beer if you want to feel young again too. But mind the hang over, this can be mixed strong as the evening wears on and is a bit sweet.

This is a very easy to drink spiced rum. Smooth with lots of added caramel /sugar taste , almost burnt treacle like. Also very pleasant vanilla and spices. I can drink this neat without anything added , even ice. I dont know if thats a good or bad thing as i prefer natural spices in my rum then add ginger beer. But i understand why it appeals to the masses.

It's okay with soda. Not great other than that. Bit strong and flat.

Spiced rhums are like aromatic tobacoes for pipe smokers : certainly not made with best ingredients but good recipes make good products ! Sailor Jerry is smooth and sweet, easy to drink by itself or with Coca Cola. Quite close to Bacardi's Oakheart. Not too strong, not too spicey, even people that don't like rhum usually will appreviate it. But it doesn't have very complex taste like old straight rhums, of course. I give it a 7 for a spiced rhum.

as titled, the label has more fun than the liquid itself.

Amber red color. Has a spice note that covers up the forward alcohol bite. Mixed with orange, pineapple and coconut bottled juice makes a quick boat drink while at anchor.

Blind tasted and was quite pleased with it.

Fragrand nose of sweet spices, vanilla and butter. No alcool aromas.

The mouth shows vanila flavours too with a burnt smokey finish. Very linear in style and can be quite boring after 2 glasses but good value for money.

Get a glass on the rocks and then move to cocktails.

when used right. I like Sailor Jerry's more than other spiced rums on the market, and this one is, as most spiced rums are, a good mixing rum, especially in Egg~Nog around the holidays! Nothing wrong with drinking it with Coke, lots of ice and a wedge of lime, either. (I would imagine it goes well with fruit juices, also, but I have no experience to verify that claim.) I know a lot of people say "Dr. Pepper", but I've not tried that. Vanilla and cinnamon flavors are at the forefront of this rum's character, which makes it sweet but with a tasty little burn to it, too. I don't care who says what - I like it.
