The rum is produced by Sailor Jerry Ltd., a company founded to honor the sailor-turned-tattoo artist, Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins.

This was awesome sweet rum until they change recipe. Now its a bit stronger what I personally don't mind so much, thought can't drink it in same amount and so easily as before. After that change is more suitable to mix. Original recipe was also very much liked by girls, if you are lucky you can find someone to sell some old bottle :)

This is a good mixer, period. Nose full of vanilla burnt caramel. The palate consists of allspice, cloves and more vanilla. The finish is long and harsh. It's better than the Captain, but is that saying a lot? There are better spiced offerings.
I test this Jerry spiced after 2 days on the ice Fridge. Maybe the cold was too important. I like it but not travel on the paradise rum road...
Better with cola after first try.
Maybe i give it another try on other conditions...

Sailor Jerry spiced never makes it off of my shopping list. It's got a permanent spot at the top. It's my standby mixer with Cola
This stuff isn't good neat or on the rocks. There's a weird "processed," almost chemical taste to it that's off-putting. Tastes like there's a ton of "spice" and vanilla flavoring in it. I suppose it would be good buried under layers of cola or fruit juice, but how fun is that?

Harsh alcohol burn with some vanilla flavor. Ok mixed with cola but I wouldn't have it straight.

Sailor Jerry, an institution, a classic. On the rocks? Neat? Best drunk with friends and Coke. Good standard rum to get drunk.

I prefer this rum in cola. I had used Captain Morgan for years then saw this one show up. Captain Morgan never did much for me so I gave it a try. The distinct cherry flavour caught my attention right away. It is a little sweeter than Captain Morgan. I like the sweet stuff, so mixed with Cola I enjoyed it thoroughly. It isn't for everyone due to the flavour & sweetness but something I always keep around for mixing.
