The nose is typical Foursquare, I could smell it all day, variety of citrus fruits with dominant red grapefruit, also raisins, the oak notes are initially almost hidden, but get more pronounced when you let the smell develop in the glass, which I really recommend. On the palate, again there is no surprise for someone who knows Forsquare products, such as Doorly's. The rum taste profile is dry, turning towards bitter and sour, with salty caramel, dried fruits, spices and oak. The aftertaste is butter, toffee, oak and spices. Very well made, honest, dry rum without additives, for Bajan style aficionados.
Very tastes and moreish, smooth and sweet. For any occasion
This is genuine Rum.
It has a nicely balanced flavor and body.
Everyone should drink this.
En virkelig lækker og velsmagende rom. Det bli'r ikke den sidste flaske jeg tømmer
This is not the overproof version but a lighter at 43%. The rum has matured for 12 years in oak barrels. Nosing reveals sweet flavors of mainly vanilla, molasse, raisins and milk chocolate and these notes also dominate the palate (with some added wood) and finish. The rum has a very good complexity and presence especially during the long finish. Nice rum especially if you are looking for a sweet rum.
I wrote a rather scathing review of this Rum a few days ago. I have since changed my mind, either the Rum has changed, or my taste buds have.
The first couple of drinks I was really put off by a strong alcohol afterburn, despite the lovely initial taste. This appears to have either mellowed in a short period of time, or my taste buds have got used to it.
I,m still a bit confused about it though, but in a good way, The initial tastes are fruity, sweet and interesting, then after the swallow, there is a very noticeable bitter taste and strong alcohol burn, then it levels out again .. LOL ... weird and wonderful.
A classic bajan rum. All around is a good rum but not compare to Foursquare.
A very pleasant surprise. I hadn't heard of this before, and by chance ordered a bottle along with some regular favourites. It turned out to be a very nice rum, recommended!
Full of big flavours raisin and tropical fruits.
"On the rocks it offers a complex yet light sipping experience. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I love Bajan rum . None of those artificial additives that you find in rums from most other locations. Used to love MG XO but after changing the formulation and materially upping the price point, it became quite pricey in the UK and the MG Black barrel has too much burn for my liking. So looking for alternatives stumbled on this. The RL seale 10yo is good too but price point vs R66 is usually a little higher. Pound for pound I don’t think there’s a better rum out there . Smooth with just ice, or a splash of coconut water or in an Old Fashioned .. enjoy!
