My first agricole (a sample, so if you're an agricole expert, perhaps take that into consideration), and it's interesting off the bat. Not really reminiscent of what I normally think of for rum, and I'm also not getting anything on the nose or taste profile that makes me think of whisky.

On the nose I get peach, brandy, ginger, funk, cleaner/solvent, and grassy notes. Palate is woody, overripe fruit, dry, walnut and a little thin (40%ABV). Finish leaves you with nutmeg, clove, and ends pretty quick.

Overall an interesting rum, that definitely makes me want to explore other agricoles, but I'm okay with just the sample.

Rhum agricole ambré de Martinique. Vieilli 6 mois dans des fûts de whisky. Titre 40°.
