Greatest packaging ever! It is a little sweet but you can drink it on the rocks or with a little cream...rivals a Baileyโ€™s on the rocks!

I'm not afraid to admit that I like sweet and fruity beverages, so this one sat quite well with me. I honestly bought this because the bottle is awesome, and was glad when the rum inside was actually smooth and tasty. I drank it at room temperature, but am guessing that this one would do nicely served chilled.

I'm not really a big fan of fruit flavored rums. I've had a few really good coconut (Koloa) and orange (Clement) flavored rums, but those are the exception.

I think the primary flavors are mango and pineapple. Also has spice (including cinnamon) and sugar (a lot). Has a nice thick, syrupy texture.

If you like mango and/or grapefruit you might really like this rum. But those are two of my least favorite flavors, so I'm not a huge fan. Plus, I find this a bit weak at only 30%abv.

Still, as far as flavored rums go, this is ok.

I had read about Rum Jumbie Liqueur and had been wanting to try it for many months but no place I checked carried it. However I stumbled upon a bottle at Castaway Liquors on St. George Island, Florida.

An aside: If you put a bottle of Rum Jumbie Liqueur with a bottle of Mrs. Butterworth you would have a nice sweet couple.

The color is a nice rich amber however I noticed a bit of haziness caused by what I presume to be various oils, probably from the fruit flavorings. Nothing major.

Definitely fruity aroma. Mango seemed predominate. Grapefruit, too. Pink grapefruit? Hmmm....

Boy, that fruitiness hits you right in the tastebuds. Overwhelmingly so at the outset. Very sweet. However there doesn't seem to be any artificial taste or chemical flavor that some of the cheap flavor rums have. The sweetness is a bit too much for my tastes and I wonder how it would be if they had eased back on it. The rum base is pretty good. A hint of cane flavor with a little oak. Hard to detect initially but comes forward after a couple of sips. The finish is definitely fruit. A boatload of fruit. At only 60 proof (30% ABV) and with all the sweetness there really isn't much of a burn. A little warmth on the back of the throat only.

Honestly, this rum is so sweet that I am at a loss as to what sort of drinks to put it in. Perhaps a coffee-based drink similar to an Irish coffee but that might not work considering the various fruit flavors. Perhaps expresso liqueur? I've seen some recipes using gin and vodka with the Rum Jumbie. Perhaps something with some bitters thrown in to counter the sweetness? I dunno...I'll leave that to you mixologists out there. I just consume 'em, I don't make 'em.

Just not in Coke Zero. That would be TOO much on the sweetness overload. However I recommend this for being something different as well as being head and shoulders (pun intended) above those crappy cheap fruit-"flavored" rums on the lower shelves.

Love this stuff. The tropical flavor is amazing. The liqueur isn't overly sweet or heavy but is just right for sipping straight. Delicious!

Bought a bottle in St Martin. Very good to mix with 7 up. Love the bottle with the hat.
