A very nice tasting rum. Hints of caramel and spice. Sweet but not overly so. Excellent on the rocks or with favorite mix. I highly recommend

Smooth hardly any bite. Though it does have a whisky note.

Crisp with alcohol forward. A bit of fruit. Wouldn’t mix it.

Sipping it there was a mix of a little oak and a little vanilla, but there was a strong after-burn. Mixed, it was initially not as flavorful, but improved after more sampling.

Has a pleasant aroma, great taste straight up, no burn, nice finish. Great rum and reasonably priced for a 21 year old aged rum.

Nice and drinkable. I liked it best on the rocks. Good blend of flavor and aged nicely. Finish is smooth.

Got a bottle of Porteno 21y Solera while in San Francisco. At $37 it sounded like a good deal. Bottle design is new and fresh, label design is dull and bland. Color is golden which is very surprising for a 21y rum. Very mild wood flavors to the nose and a tad more wood to the palate. This most certainly is coming from Jack Daniels barrel aging. Hardly any burn, but the rum is very dry. For whisky lovers, it will be a good deal. Too dry and woody for me.
