Ron Zacapa XO

In direct comparison with Zacapa 23 has the XO less alcohol smell, bigger body and much more layers of taste. This everything I missed in 23 Zacapa, so for me is the XO the best of standard Zacapa production.

Excepțional.. Nu cred că există o descriere a acestui rom aproape perfect. Un rom deosebit. Prețul reflectă calitatea acestei delicatese. Recomand oricând și pentru oricine straight sau on the rocks.

Cloyingly sweet, hot, syrup, banana, stone fruit, burnt caramel. The finish saves it somewhat; hot goes to warm and hangs around for a nice fruity ending.

Color is so dark it screams added caramel.
Sugar-26g and it taste like at least that much.

I found this rum will in Ixtapa with a friend that came from Guatemala. It is the best rum to date that I have found. I'm still looking that's why it didn't get a 10.

The bottle has been changed to a simpler but still elegant bottle however we are here to talk about what's inside. Zacapa is a well balanced smooth and pretty good rum. I say pretty good because in terms of rum it's crafted the ideal typical rum. You got some allspice going in but in terms of everything else it's a standard rum that has been immaculately conceived. It's not super complex like the likes of Bumbu, Thomas Tew ect. It's a step above the normal. There is a rum called "Motu". It's 20$ a bottle and tastes very similar to R.Z. XO. The only real difference being a sweeter ending where zacapa is a drier ending. All it in all if you think of the typical rum flavor that's about what you have with zacapa. It's by no means bad, I just enjoy the atypical stuff most than your oak-vanilla, spice rums. I do think it's out of it's price range though. I paid 50$ at a duty free store for it and that was a steal but having tasted it I know several other similar tasting rums that can compete with this guy for a much lesser cost. Motu, Cockspur specifically. It's an 8 rum but it's smoothness and attention to detail make me give it a 9.

Wow..the rum gods gave us a gift...its rare I drink rum straight..but with this, there is no other way...best rum ive tried..perfect balance.. perfection in liquid form..

A good strong rum. Un très bon rhum Zacapa, mais pour moin cher, je crois que le 23 Solera est presque pareil.

You can't go wrong with this one, can you? It is of course similar to other Zacapas, only a little deeper more intense flavors. I wouldn't rate it higher than the 2015 Reserva Limitada though since it tasted similar, but it is truly delicate!

Ce rhum de tres grande qualite .c un rhum a avoir pour tout collectionneur.assez ducre il est tres equilibre et assez long en bouche.tres doux sa finale sur le pruneau est excellente.ce rhum est un peu sur l alcool ce qui raviera certains connaisseurs.belle bouteille et tres beau coffret tout noir.note 9.1.
