The rum is then aged from 6 to 23 years at 7544 feet above sea level at 62 °F (17 °C) using the solera process. A great rum and a must for every rum lover. Not on the sweet side at all. In fact is a little bit tough in spirit. The collection of smells and aromas will not disappoint you. Better to try in a bar before to buy a bottle.

Absolutely the best rum I’ve ever tasted I usually drink rum With Ginger beer but this is outstanding just with just Ice can’t go wrong with this one.
Surprisingly I like it more than Zacapa Royal. Sweet & smooth for easy sipping.

I had high expectations, yet not quite met.
It is good, harsh with a hint of sweetness, but not as much as expected by the numerous reviews read.
The smell is not overwhelming, but present.
Don't misunderstand me, a good sipper, yet the "Royal" is much better...ok,...more expensive also ;)

Man, I was so excited to try this out, but my experience with it was a very unpleasant one. For such an expensive rum, I was expecting a host of flavors dancing around my taste-buds, but that didn't happen at all. It was too much heat for my taste.

I like Zazappa, its one of the famous rum in coutry(Slovakia) in pubs (bars). I also would like to taste this higher version, but the difference was 2 years in age, but biggest difference in price was because of shape of bottle.

A nicely balanced rum that finishes sweetly but without much character. I think I’d prefer to drink the Zacapa 23 and use to money I’d save to buy another bottle of same.

I thought the XO was good. It won't crack my top 3 or even top 5...but it was tasty, nonetheless. Definitely has that RZ spice to it, but smoother than the RZ 23 and not as sweet. Has a nice balance of sweet and spice. Burnt caramel corn, spice and orange preserves. Tasted a hint of tobacco at the front of the palette, which means it'll will probably pair well with a cigar. Medium finish. Lots of vanilla and oak wafting from the glass while it decanted. Overall I give it an 8, but it's closer to 7.5 due to it's spicy after burn. Will reach for it again, if offered to me...but doubt I'd buy a bottle.
