Guatemala | Aged | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4) Distilled
Ron Zacapa 23 Solera Rum was created in 1976 in the highlands of Guatemala, where it is distilled in a copper-lined column still from fresh cane juice before solera aging.
The 500 year-old Spanish Sistema Solera method is used to age Ron Zacapa 23 in white oak casks. This results in a combination of rums aged between 6 and 23 years.
The current Ron Zacapa 23 bottle features a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle.

A great choice and I would recommend it to a friend.
Smooth, but not in my top 5.
You can never go wrong with Ron Zacapa. This is a nice rum.
Smooth with very pleasant finish. Highly recommended for first time rum drinkers (or those of you who couldn't stand what you were given at parties during high school).
Zacapa 23 solara is a vers smooth rum. Altho it isnt a true 23 year old rum, it does tast like it!
Klassisk god rom. God opstart rom.
Angenehme Süße, langanhaltender Geschmack. Zu keinem Zeitpunkt scharf am Gaumen. Schmeckt einfach sehr angenehm und abgestimmt. Unbedingte Empfehlung, leider nicht ganz günstig.
Its a pretty good sipping rum. Failry smooth good notes of vanilla, but definately not up their for sipping with the el dorado 21 or diplomatica reserva.
Greta smooth taste, tried with lemonade and it's refreshing whilst not too sweet - despite other ratings
Wonderful brown color and an incredible warm and sweet taste.
Actually quite dry and oaky.
"Flavour builds if you leave the rum in your mouth for a little longer allowing it to coat the palate."
Wonderfully intricate with honeyed butterscotch, spiced oak and raisined fruit...

Decanted, the rum displays a surprising body in the glass for something so apparently light, and has slow and strong legs down the side of the glass.

It is really smooth all the time, a little sweet in the middle, and slightly astringent for the palates in the pre-finish phase and with a significant caramel finish! Really quality drink !!!
