Guatemala | Aged | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4) Distilled
Ron Zacapa 23 Solera Rum was created in 1976 in the highlands of Guatemala, where it is distilled in a copper-lined column still from fresh cane juice before solera aging.
The 500 year-old Spanish Sistema Solera method is used to age Ron Zacapa 23 in white oak casks. This results in a combination of rums aged between 6 and 23 years.
The current Ron Zacapa 23 bottle features a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle.

Because of it's price point, I only ruby this one on special occasions, but what occasions they are!!! One of my favourite rums, smooth and sweet.....the bottle is always gone far too fast, but always enjoyed.

Sweet, smooth and a bit ordinary for my taste, as well as overprized - going to use the rest of the bottle for mixing i guess.

Excellent rum, full taste, not too sweet or harsh. not for mixing but for pure sipping.
it's sweet, yes. for me it is a good standard rum, you can drink all the time

Good sipper as expected. Made of sugar cane and not molasses. Great balanced. Tastes it's honey, butterscotch and vanilla.
Pretty sweet so it's a good sipper.
Do not mix it with coke. :)
Nice fruity not too smooth rum ! Great taste and rawness

Alle mands eje, men gider den ikke mere ok til drinks
ligeramente dulce, se aprecia el cherry y suave madera, ligero al paladar, interesante probarlo.

Un bon rhum Solera à l'arôme caramel.
Belle épaisseur mais il manque de longueur en bouche et je me trouve un peu trop porté sur le sucre.
