This rum is very similar to Calvados. Really original rum, low alcohol emphasis, complex flavor.
I finished fourth bottle: exactly 8/10. Very solid concentrated impression.

Like the Havana Club rum I tried recently, we can't get this rum in the USA. Thus, when the opportunity arose, I selected this rum to sample even over more desirable rums I can easily get here.
Like the Havana Club 7 Year rum, this one offers the same general lightness, elegant color and slight smokiness seemingly favored on that island. Is this the way Fidel wants it to taste?
This is a wonderfully enjoyable sipping rum, but seems to open up positively when served on the rocks. You then sense the complexities in both aroma and taste. Not quite as smooth as the Havana Club to my memory, but still a fine rum.

This rum is surprising. Much better than Ron Varadero anejo. It's not woody nor tobacco strong like some other Cuban rums. Nonetheless it's taste is very much Cuban. It has a sweet caramel finish.

Better than the Havana 7 which got me about the rum train in the first place. Not stellar but very likeable indeed. Could do with being mellowed with ice, but is good straight up nonetheless.

Smaak: licht zoetig vanille. Karamel, tabak en eikenhout.
Nasmaak: ietwat zoet, eindigt droog.
Prima rum, denk Havana Club 7, voor deze prijs (<€15).

Smoot round sweet flavour. Nose: especialy sugar cane. Better than havana club 7yo.
It has quite a sweet almost wine like nose.
"Notes of cigar smoke/tobacco and you get some fruity notes of plums and raisins."

A rum to enjoy at the same level of a Havana Club or a Ron Santiago. It's being a while since I tried this one. Need to refresh my memory.
