This is what I call Fire Water. It has a bit of a fruity nose to it. Sort of like the mango smell that I associate with habanero peppers. There is also a ultra-spicy undertone that fore shadows the heat to come. Similar to sniffing crushed red pepper flakes.
The palate begins with the mild un-aged rum coupled with the fruity mango-y habanero taste alluded to earlier…. then it is a full on Katy bar the door, that is hot. The heat keeps giving and giving. 20 minutes later, it’s still present.
I found a teaspoon added to a lime daquari really livens it up and makes the heat more enjoyable.
I initially gave it an 8 but settled on a 7 due to its ferocity.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

One of the more fun rum experiences to have! The reaper does have good flavor, but burning is the main profile. Not too hot that it will ruin your day like a crazy hot sauce, but it's up there. Dare your friends to take a shot or use in a spicy margarita or bloody mary
