So much talk about this clear rum, I was expecting something along the lines of Diplomatico Planas. It does have a little funk to it. Not one to sip neat.

Tasty, balanced and good ad a mixer and sipper. Great utility white rum

Mild nose, good hogo on the tongue, nice burn but short finish, almost clear color. I appreciate the 94 proof. This is a white blend of Foursquare column still Barbados and Hampden double retort pot still in Jamaican. Best sipping white in my experience. Love the quote from the label: โ€œunsullied by sophistic additivesโ€. Meaning, no sugar or color post distillation (by law in those countries). Looking forward to a trial in a cocktail. Highly recommend for a white (beige) rum.

I've never really have had light rum by itself (not including shots )but this really is top draw flavours that are most prominent are banana pineapple and passionfruit and various other tropical fruit. For a bottle that's around 70aud this is a bargain

Probitas is well regarded and somehow still underrated. A blend of Foursquare and Hampden and you get the best qualities of both. Smooth sipper with a bit of funk, and works well in a huge variety of cocktails due to the subtlety yet complexity of flavor. Everyone should have in their bar.

This is a decent white rum with a respectable 94 proof. I wouldn't recommend it for sipping, but it does a respectable job as a mixer. I prefer Bacardi Gran Reserva Maestro de Ron for a white rum, but unfortunately I am down to my last bottle of that. The Probitas works great in a daiquiri, but is not what I am looking for in a rum and Coke or Cuba Libre.

I probably won't restock this when it is out, but I have had a lot worse light rums.

We all love a toasty Jamaican rum and a light, fruity Barbadian rum. This bottle brings the best of both worlds and presents numerous possibilities. Sipping neat and on the rocks is a smile-inducing experience, led through the bodies of two very separate flavour profiles using the same taste buds separate from a cocktail. Speaking of mixed drinks, it is also a fun tool for bartenders who mix their rums. While less of a daiquiri base in my opinion, it finds a comfy home in mai tais and honeysuckles.

Best of both worlds, truly a masterpiece. Hampden and Foursquare come together with fireworks! My two favorite distilleries in one bottle? I'll be buying a case...

Extremely funky, extreme burn I get the Jamaican rum notes but taste is too short lived to enjoy, better off buying barrell jamaica rum

Sipping, just great with a lot of pineapple and bananas on the nose, along with burnt caramel. Then on the palate, bananas, funk, anise, and some cedar or pencil shavings. A bit hot at first, but, really lovely to hang out with for a while.
